Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollhian held a presser after last night's operation (True Promise) against Israeli military sites.

Iran PressIran news: Briefing on Iran's last night retaliatory attack on Israel during his presser, Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that in its response to Israeli aggression, Iran didn't target any civilian.
"We targeted airbase for F35 jets and intelligence centers used in strike on our Iranian consulate in Damascus," FM added.
Iranian Foreign Minister added that following the Israeli attack on Iranian consulate in Damascus, if UN had condemned Israeli strike, we would have thought twice about our response.
Meanwhile Amir-Abdollahian stressed that Iran takes security of its neighbours in the region seriously, and had notified its regional neigbours 72 hours ahead of retaliatory strike.
"Iran not seek to escalate tension in the region. Iran seeks de-scalation in the region. In our message to White House this morning we explain that this was a limited response. We will target US bases if they are used to aid Zionist aggression," Iran's FM said. 
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a retaliatory strike on multiple locations in Israel, in response to the Israeli terrorist attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria on 1 April 2024.
On 1 April 2024, an Israeli airstrike destroyed the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, killing 16 people, including a senior Quds Force commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, a senior commander along with six other IRGC officers. Six Syrian civilians also were killed in the attack.
