This year, May 14, or the 25th of Ordibehesht in the Iranian calendar is registered as the day of commemoration of Hakim Abolghasem Ferdowsi, the greatest epic poet of Iran and the world.
Abolghasem Hassan, son of Ali Tusi known as Ferdowsi, was born in 329 AH in the village of Pazh in the historical city of Toos in Khorasan Razavi province and is known as the most important and well-known Iranian orator who had said poems in Persian.
Ferdowsi's world fame is due to the Shahnameh, which this famous Iranian poet started composing at a young age and composing the Shahnameh took 30 years.
This immortal work of Ferdowsi, which is one of the best epic works in the world, has about fifty thousand verses and has been translated into different languages around the world.
