Kermanshah (IP) - Taq-e Bostan Boulevard is the longest forest boulevard in Iran, extending from the center of Kermanshah to the north of the city in western Iran.

Iran PressIran news: The boulevard has been constructed as a way to reach the historical monuments of Taq-e Bostan and its resorts. The boulevard and the historical complex of Taq-e Bostan are of interest to tourists and travelers.

Taq-e Bostan was built in the third century AD. At the time, Sassanid kings were more inclined to build their statues around Persepolis. But the Taq-e Bostan was chosen for the construction of statues during the reign of Ardashir II.

Several historical events of the Sassanid era and the coronation of the kings of the period can be seen in the fragments of the Taq-e Bostan. These historical events are still fascinating to tourists, historians, and researchers after centuries.
