Iran Press/ Iran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said: "That they sanctioned you is indicative of the influence of your words in the society, among the Iranians across the region and in Resistance Axis."
Amir-Abdollahian noted that the Europeans were well aware of their incompetence and the non-binding decision of their parliament to boycott the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), so they resorted to putting a few individuals on their sanctions list.
He stressed that in case any action was taken against the IRGC, Iran's response to it would be very tough.
Drafting a bill on January 18, the European Parliament called on the European Union to put the name of the IRGC in its so-called list of 'terrorist organizations.'
The adoptions of the European Parliament are not binding but are merely a proposal to the European Union.
