Russia-NATO civil and military cooperation has been completely stopped, Russian deputy foreign minister said.

Iran Press/Europe: Alexander Grushko announced that his country civil and military cooperation with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has been completely stopped.

"Civil and military cooperation has been completely stopped. NATO itself has abandoned a positive agenda in relations with Russia. It does not exist. And so far there are no signs that NATO knows how to get out of this deadlock," Russian deputy FM told Sputnik News Website.

Russia and NATO disputes especially Moscow – Washington disagreement over many issues including US Military Presence in Poland, crisis in Ukraine and Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014, differences in Syria crisis, Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 US elections, mutual sanctions and … are nothing new, but the deal between Ankara and Moscow on purchase on S-400 Missile System has gained much attention, as Washington has repeatedly threatened to block deliveries of Lockheed Martin’s F-35 jets to Turkey as one of its allies in NATO.

Russia has repeatedly expressed its concern regarding an increased NATO military presence in Europe.

The Kremlin has repeatedly underscored that Russia poses no threat to other nations, but will not ignore actions endangering its interests.105/205
