Iraq, not a base for invasion on other countries: Al-Kazemi

Iraq’s new Prime Minister said he does not allow the Iraqi soil turns to a base for invading on other countries.

Iran PressMiddle East: Mustafa al-Kadhimi said on Thursday that his cabinet’s most important mission is to pave the way for holding early and healthy election, noting that prior to the election, national sovereignty must be  enshrined  in accordance with the constitution in its all aspects in the country.

The Iraqi prime minister said that resolving the problems faced by the  country, such as the coronavirus as well as the economic crisis and solving the problems between Baghdad and Erbil were among the most important responsibilities of his government, asserting that his government seeks to solve crises  not to build them.

Mustafa al-Kadhimi submitted his government's program document to the parliament, which outlined eight issues the most important of which are the promotion of security agencies, the resolution of economic problems, and the fight against corruption.

Mustafa al-Kadhimi officially took office as Iraq's prime minister this morning (Thursday, May 7) with a majority vote in the Iraqi parliament.
