Turkish artillery targets Syrian Aleppo province

Turkish artillery has targeted some villages around Manbij city in Aleppo province, northern Syria.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Syrian Media reported that the Turkish army fired dozens of mortars and cannons at the villages of 'Arab Hasan' and 'Jebel' around the city of Manbij in Aleppo province.

A Syrian child was killed in the attack, according to reports.

Meanwhile, operations by the Syrian army and its allies in the north, the last base of terrorist groups in Syria, have prompted a backlash from Turkey.

In recent months, the Turkish military has been targeting the positions of the Syrian army and infrastructure in support of several armed terrorist groups. Areas in northern Syria are currently occupied by the Turkish military.

The crisis in Syria began in 2011 with a massive offensive by terrorist groups. The Syrian army defeated the ISIS terrorist group in the country with the help of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russian support. Other terrorist groups are also failing.
