Iraqi FM: Iraq will not become a base for invading other countries

Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali Al-Hakim in a meeting with the EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said his country would not become a base for attacking other countries.

Iran Press/Middle East: According to the statement released by Iraqi Foreign Ministry on Tuesday 18 February, Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali Al-Hakim in a meeting with the EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell urged the necessity of paying respect to Iraq's national sovereignty by all the states He also strongly opposed  Iraq's becoming a stage of conflict with countries. 

Stressing the need to support Iraqi efforts to reach regional stability as well as achieving the regional and international agreement.

Top Iraqi diplomat also called for the implementation of the developmental plans pledged by the European Union at the International Conference for Reconstruction of Iraq held in Kuwait in 2018.
