Tehran (IP) - Iran's healthcare system has acted perfectly to keep the death toll and hospitalizing level low, the Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi said.

Iran PressIran News: In response to Iran Press News Agency's question about the latest situation in Khuzestan province Iraj Harirchi, deputy head of Health Minister in a live video presser on Saturday 9 May, said that Khuzestan situation on COVID-19 epidemic is worrying and agonizing and the infection is rocketing there.

Harirchi made the remarks on how perfectly Iran's healthcare system acted to keep the death toll and hospitalizing level low despite the high number of COVID-19 infection.      

"The recent studies indicated 10-12 or 15 percent of infections mainly fewer disease symptoms or symptomless cases and if the case turns out to be true, it is a great achievement for the country," he continued.

He added that it is urgent for people to implement hygienic protocols and keep social distancing.

Iran's Health official elsewhere said the outbreak in Khuzestan has been later other Iran's cities that is why the number is rocketing.

The official stated the as it has been said the warm weather would not vanish the virus, like the cases you see in Southern Iran cities such as Khuzestan's cities, so the hygienic protocols are a must to be implemented.
