Shahid Rajaee Port

Tehran (IP) - The director-general of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization said that Iran's petroleum exports increased by 26.7 percent in the past 11 months in the Iranian calendar (starting on March 21) to reach 5.5 million tons.

Iran PressIran news: Allahmorad Afifi said the past 11 months 78,000 tons of petro-products was transited that is indicative of a 100 percent growth in the sector. 

Afifi said in Shahid Rajaee Port during the same period more than 24 million tons of petroleum products have been lading with an increase of 5.5 percent.

Around 4,000 ships have berthed in Shahid Rajaei Port during the last 11 months that shows a 17% increase compared with the same time over the last year. 

Shahid Rajaee port is located west of Bandar Abbas port city in Hormozga province, south of Iran. 

It is the largest and most equipped container port in Iran, supporting more than 80% of Iran's port container operations.
