Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani

Tehran (IP) - Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has stressed the necessity of compliance of all government bodies and organizations with the decisions and directives issued by the anti-Corona National Headquarters, saying everyone should follow these directives.

Iran Press/Iran news: "The coronavirus has spread in the country. In spite of measures taken to counter the outbreak, it, unfortunately, went beyond one or two provinces,” Ali Larijani said while speaking in a meeting held in the Parliament to review the latest developments and actions taken to combat COVID-19, with Iranian Health Minister Saeed Namaki and MPs in attendance.

Larijani underlined that the anti-Corona National Headquarters must have sufficient power, adding: “The Supreme National Security Council approved that all agencies, government departments and organizations must comply with the directives and decisions made at the National Headquarters.”

He also mentioned that the Supreme National Security Council had determined how the various infected provinces should cooperate with the anti-Corona National Headquarters.

Ali Larijani said more than 100 countries have been infected by the new virus, and there are important healthcare and economic consequences for those countries affected.

“All efforts are being made to make the anti-Corona National Headquarters a success,” he added.

At the meeting, the Health Minister and head of the anti-Corona National Headquarters Saeed Namaki presented a report on the actions taken and directives issued by the Headquarters.
