Tehran (IP)- The Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said the Islamic Republic of Iran has strong reasons for not responding to IAEA questions and requests.

Iran Press/Iran news: Referring to IAEA report, Behrouz Kamalvandi on Wednesday stated that IAEA released two reports that one related to the JCPOA issue and the other to a subject that is the source of disagreement between Iran and the Agency.

“Our activities are fully specified. The enrichment of all types of centrifuges, heavy water research and development, is in fact the periodic report that is issued quarterly by the Agency on the basis of an agreement reached in JCPOA, but in relation to another issue that has long been a matter between us and the Agency since the late Amano has been there until now," Kamalvandi added.

The spokesman for the AEOI said the IAEA's request for information and access must have legal basis.

Elsewhere Kamalvandi said that part of distorted information was given by the Zionist regime to the International Atomic Energy Agency and there was also a lot of pressure from the Zionist regime either under the late Mr. Yukia Amano, former Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency or under Mr. Rafael Grossi the current Director General, which the IAEA has to accept this information as evidence, but these do not fit into the protocol and safeguard definitions.
