Iran Press/ Iran news: A senior aide to the Speaker of Iran's Parliament, Hossein Amir Abdolahian referred to the latest upheavals in Idlib, Syria as a triggering factor in the escalation of geopolitical tensions, writing on his Twitter account on Sunday that the behaviour of the US and Turkey will make the situation much more complicated.
"Focusing on the Sochi obligations and the tripartite talks of Tehran-Moscow-Ankara is a fundamental breakthrough in the Syria crisis," he said.
The Turkish army has targeted Syrian military positions and infrastructure in Idlib province over the past few days.
Iran's Foreign Ministry, earlier in a statement said it is essential to manage the tensions in Idlib.
