Tehran (IP) - Salah Zawawi, Palestinian ambassador to Tehran has said the Islamic Republic of Iran's 'democratic and political' plan for holding a referendum on the Palestinian occupied territories will defend the rights of the Palestinian people.

Iran Press/Iran news: On the sideline of a Conference on the 'Second Phase of the Revolution, the model of the civilizational maker of revolutionary system' at IRIB International Conference Center, Salah Zawawi, in an exclusive interview with Iran Press said: "Iran's democratic and political plan, holding a referendum in the occupied territories with the participation of all Palestinians, will lead to a just resolution of the Palestinian problem and the realization of the Palestinian people's rights.

He noted, "Despite the significance of Iran's plan and the utterly anti-Palestinian 'Deal of the Century', we have no doubt our victory is just a matter of time and Trump's plan will fail because no one welcomes it."

The Palestinian ambassador added: "Regarding what was proposed by the Islamic Republic of Iran as a solution to Palestinian issue, we hope that such a referendum would be held but unfortunately, the United Nation has not taken any step in this regard, especially as you know we are under control of the Jewish and Zionist enemy in addition to what Trump is trying to impose on us and handing over all Palestinian territories to the Israeli enemy including 'Beit-ul-Moghaddas."

On the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and the Ten-Day-Dawn celebrations, the Palestinian ambassador Salah Zawawi congratulated the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian nation and the Islamic world.

He added, "We have no doubt our victory is a matter of time and Trump's plan "Deal of Century" would fail because none welcomes such a solution to the Palestinian issue. Many countries all around the world in Asia, Africa and even Europe have rejected the plan, and have not accepted the resolution.
