Tehran (IP)- Residents of Tehran and University of Tehran students held a demonstration in front of the UK Embassy in Tehran on Sunday forthrightly condemning the actions of Britain's ambassador to Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: Protesters on Sunday evening chanted anti-UK slogans, including "Down with England," demanding the expulsion of the British ambassador, Robert Macaire and the closure of the British embassy in Iran.

During the rally in front of the British embassy in Tehran, students commemorated the memory of the victims of the Ukraine plane crash, as well as the memory of the martyred General Qassem Soleimani.

The demonstrators also condemned any insult to martyred hero, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

In a highly unorthodox behaviour, Britain's ambassador to Tehran, Robert Macaire, took part in an anti-Iranian-government vigil and protest in front of Amir Kabir University of Technology on Saturday night, and actively encouraged those who had gathered to chant anti-government slogans.
