Tehran's interim Friday Prayers leader said when US imposes unfair sanctions on Iran, the Islamic Ummah has achieved a string of inspirational victories.

Iran Press/Iran news: Addressing a huge crowd of Friday prayers worshippers and the faithful in Tehran, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Hassan Abutorabi Fard said the string of victories included the unity and solidarity of all Palestinian resistance groups and their collective rejection of the Deal of the Century.

Tehran's interim Friday Prayers leader added that the Manama gathering, the tracking and shooting down of a radar-evasive US drone, one of the most sophisticated in the US military arsenal, and the Leader's forthright and decisive rejection of a message by US president, Donald Trump.

Elsewhere in his address Abutorabi hailed the downing a US drone by the IRGC air defenses, saying that the success of the country’s air defense system showed that the relationship between scientific centers (universities) and the Defence Ministry should be further strengthened.

Abutorabi further added: "Hitting the US drone showed that Iran is ready to pull the trigger in the face of any new aggression."

In further remarks, Hojjatoleslam Abutorabi referred to the economic problems that the people are facing today in Iran, saying that part of the problem is to do with improper budgeting and the dependence of the government on oil revenues.

Abutorabi urged the government to reduce its dependence on oil revenues in accordance with the “Second Phase of the Revolution” statement by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei.

The senior cleric further said the budget’s dependence on oil revenues has resulted in more liquidity when the prices of oil goes up, which in turn leads to a decline in the value of the local currency the Rial and subsequently an increase in the inflation rate.
