Tehran (IP) - Iran's President said that all policymakers in the White House and Pentagon are confused about their approaches.

Iran Press/Iran news: Hassan Rouhani made the remarks while attending the ceremony for launching the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in Tehran on Tuesday.

According to Iran Press, He further stressed that all the US systems including the White House, Pentagon, and others are confused.

Rouhani said that the US sanctions on Tehran display Washington’s desperation and the US will fail.

"The US, which violates all of its promises and vows, now says 'we are willing to negotiate'," Rouhani noted.

US policy towards Tehran displays the Trump administration's “despair”, adding that the White House is “mentally retarded.”

He added that recent US sanctions on the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei are futile as the Leader has no foreign assets.

Referring to the recent US sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Rouhani said, "Imposing sanctions on the highest political, social, religious and spiritual leader of a country, who is not only the leader of Iran, but also the leader of Muslims and Shiites and the followers of the Islamic Revolution throughout the world is a ridiculous act”.

“Today, a large number of people in Lebanon, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and the rest of the world, both Shiites and non-Shiites, love and obey the Supreme Leader; the fact that someone has lost his mind and does such an thing is ridiculous,” Iran's President said.

Pointing out that the United States has frozen the assets of the Supreme Leader under the new sanctions, Rouhani said, “All the Supreme Leader has got is just a hussainiya and a simple house; the Iranian leader is not like any other world leaders who have millions of dollars in their foreign accounts”.

While ordering the launch of the system, Rouhani appreciated all those involved in the establishment of the system and said, “This fulfills one of the promises of the government aimed at promoting citizens’ rights and e-government”.

Iran's President said the corruption in Iran's health section shall be stopped and more attention should be made to the medical care of Iranian people.

“Today, we are happy that people’s old wish has been fulfilled,” added the President.

He went on to describe the system as the beginning of the second phase of the Healthcare Reform Plan, saying, “This project will bring satisfaction to many citizens, increasing their welfare”.

“In addition, by using the Electronic Health Record system, healthcare fees will be reduced and it will be very valuable for doctors and future research,” the President said.

The Electronic Reference System has passed the test period with 44 universities nationwide, accounting for 85 percent of the country’s population, taking part.

The EHR was inaugurated in the second phase in the Healthcare Reform Plan in this ceremony that was held at the Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
