Iran Press/ Iran: In addition to the inauguration of the project of three times promotion of the National Information Network, the ceremony unveiled the economic package supporting businesses including cloud services, hosting and content delivery network, Iran Press reported.
Presenting a one-year report from the activities of Iran's Ministry of Communications and the ICT sector of the country in the development of the National Communications Network in this ceremony, Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi said: "As its' name suggests, the national network is not merely the Ministry of Communication's network, but it is a national network."
He continued: "Given that from triple document of the National Information Network, only a document explaining the requirements of its' infrastructure section has been prepared. We made an adjustment between what was going on and what we had to come up with, at the beginning of the twelfth government."
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology also said: "We prepared this document and extracted the differences. We send a message to Iran's Supreme Council of Cyberspace, and asked for a two-year deadline to change some rails to get the result in the area of development of the national information network of Iran."
Azari Jahromi added: "According to our report, home broadband access section which includes fixed broadband, and mobile network, has to be developed. Internet portal and internet connections are part of the macro structure and important components of the National Information Network."
