A mourning ceremony on the night of Tasu'a is currently taking place at Imam Khomeini's Hosseiniyeh, attended by thousands of mourners, a number of senior government officials, and the Leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Iran/ According to an Iran Press report, the mourning ceremony is currently underway, on the night of Tasu'a, with Hojjat-ol-Islam Nasser Rafiei as the main speaker, and Mahmoud Karimi as the main eulogist. The other Eulogist at tonight's ceremony is Ali Ensani.

The night of Tasu'a is the night preceding the night of A'shra. The Day of A'shura  marks the martyrdom anniversary of Prophet Mohammad's grandson, the Chief of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
