First Minister of Scotland vows to supports those who recognize Scottish people's right for holding an independence referendum in the next public poll in Britain, calling Boris Johnson as unfit to have another chance to become British prime minister.

Iran Press/Europe: Addressing a rally of thousands of activists in Glasgow Saturday, Scotland's first minister, Nicola Sturgeon called for a new referendum on independence to be held in 2020 Iran Press reported, quoting the 'Scotsman' news website.

Sturgeon has called for independence to prevent Scotland from being “ripped from her European family” against its will, Daily Mail reported.

In response to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's opposition to Scotland's independence referendum, she said Johnson did not respect the Scottish people the right to decide their fate, however, the Scottish people would continue their struggle for their cause.

“The SNP is not going to be giving support to parties that do not recognize the central principle of the right of the people of Scotland to choose their own future,” she said, adding that: "Only a vote for the SNP at this election is a vote to escape Brexit, lock the Tories out of power and put Scotland’s future in Scotland’s hands."

Sturgeon said: “Boris Johnson simply doesn’t deserve the chance to chance to return to Downing Street as Prime Minister.”

Boris Johnson was wrong to suggest that Labour and the SNP have done a deal on a second Scottish independence referendum, Nicola Sturgeon has said. On the other hand, Sturgeon repeatedly insisted that Jeremy Corbyn would allow a referendum on Scottish independence.

The SNP is campaigning for a second referendum on Scottish independence, arguing that Britain’s disorderly exit from the European Union is rejected by the majority of Scots, 62% of which voted remain in the 2016 Brexit referendum.

Scotland held a referendum on independence in 2014, in which the ‘No’ campaign won with 55.3% of the vote. In the years since, there have been rallies and marches by pro-independence activists, though the SNP has officially kept its distance from the grassroots campaigners - until this weekend.  212/ 104
