Iran Press/ Europe: A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Service said that five of these people are still in custody and the others were released on bail.

According to the police, those arrested were between 19 to 69 years old, Iran Press reported.

Members of the protest group calling itself 'Heathrow Pause' intend to cause disruption at Heathrow Airport by flying drones and expressing their protest against global warming and the climate crisis.

Heathrow Pause - a splinter group from the Extinction Rebellion movement - intend to fly the machines in the airport's 3.1-mile (5km) exclusion zone, potentially disrupting hundreds of flights.

They have claimed in a statement that their drones do not fly in the path of aircraft, so they won't hurt anyone.

According to media reports, manipulating traffic lights, police have generated traffic jams to prevent the activists from hitting traffic lights around Heathrow Airport.

A large police presence was seen in and around London's Heathrow Airport on Friday and Saturday.
