We will work to strengthen close ties between the two countries: Modi

In a tweet, Indian PM emphasized on strengthening India-Iran ties after thanking Iran's President for his warm greetings.

Iran Press/Asia: "India and Iran enjoy civilizational links," said the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet on Monday. "We will work to strengthen close ties between the two countries."

This tweet was an answer to Hassan Rouhani's official congratulations to Modi on his winning in elections, Iran Press Reported.

In a Friday message, Iran's president said that during Modi’s term, relations between Iran and India has experienced significant growth, adding: “I’m sure that in your new term we will see deepening of bilateral ties more than ever.”

Rouhani wished Modi health and success and the people of India prosperity.
