Corona death toll in the US is higher than official figures

Americans are almost certainly dying of COVID-19 but being left out of the official count

Iran PressAmerica: The Washington Post newspaper in a report on Sunday about the Coronavirus death toll in the US said that Americans are almost certainly dying of COVID-19, but being left out of the official count.

This report says that according to public health experts and government officials involved in the tally, the fast-spreading novel Coronavirus is almost certainly killing Americans who are not included in the nation’s growing death toll.

The report added: "US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention counts only deaths in which the presence of the Coronavirus is confirmed in a laboratory test. We know that it is an underestimation, agency spokeswoman Kristen Nordlund said."

The US coronavirus death toll is now more than triple that of the 9/11 attacks, with almost half of the known pandemic-related deaths in New York.
