Tehran (IP) - Chairman of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and head of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue emphasized the continuation of bilateral religious discussions.

Iran Press/Iran news: Chairman of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Abuzar Ebrahimi Turkaman on Monday at a meeting with the president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot said that interreligious dialogue brings nations together. 

According to Iran Press, the president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot also said: "Religious dialogue between Iran and the Vatican Church helps leaders of both religions find a solution to the violence in today's world."

The 11th round of Iran-Vatican Religious Dialogue titled 'Muslims and Christians together for Humanity' began on Monday, November 11 in Tehran and continues until November 12. 

The history of religious dialogue between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Vatican goes back to 1994 when the first meeting was held in Tehran.

So far 10 of these talks have been held biennially in Rome and in Tehran in turn.
