Middle East: According to Iran Press, Mohammed ElBaradei questioned the Arab countries' sincerity as far as the issues of the region are concerned.
The former director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) asked Arab rulers: "How's that the Arab countries could leave the resolution of their problems to the superpowers and negotiate with the Israeli regime but they could not communicate with friends like Iran and Turkey."
The Egyptian politician reiterated the fact that the policies adopted by Arab rulers are flawed and faulty, adding that the destructive consequences of those policies constitute the best evidence to the claim.
On Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Oman, where he discussed so-called peace initiatives in the Middle East with Omani leader Sultan Qaboos, Netanyahu’s office said after he returned home.
The rare visit to Oman by the Israeli Prime Minister — which was not publicized beforehand — comes days after Palestinian Authority Chief Mahmoud Abbas' visit to the country, Reuters reported.
Netanyahu was accompanied by senior officials, including the head of the Mossad spy agency and his national security adviser.
“Among issues discussed, ways to advance the (so-called) peace process in the Middle East, topped the agenda of the talks," his office said.
