The Israeli military has killed dozens of individuals, including children, following a strike on a UN-run school in the Gaza Strip that was serving as a shelter.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The attack occurred in the Nuseirat refugee camp located in central Gaza on Thursday, resulting in the deaths of at least 30 people, of which five were children.

Ismail al-Thawabta, the director of the government media office in Gaza, stated that the death toll might increase as many of the injured are in serious or critical condition.

Israel has intensified its air and ground operations. The Israeli military has claimed that the targeted school, operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), was being used as a safe haven by Hamas fighters, an allegation strongly refuted by al-Thawabta.

This incident came shortly after another severe attack by Israeli forces on the Maghazi refugee camp, which also resulted in killing Palestinian civilians.

Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières, MSF) reported that since Tuesday, over 70 people have been killed and more than 300 have been wounded due to the ongoing airstrikes in central Gaza, overwhelming local medical facilities like Al-Aqsa hospital.

The savage campaign was launched after Hamas carried out its historic Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the usurping entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities. Concurrently, Israel has maintained a strict blockade on Gaza, severely restricting the supply of essential resources like fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
