Iran Press/ Iran News: Pointing out that the Islamic Republic of Iran intends to develop relations with neighboring and friendly countries, including Armenia, Ebrahim Raisi said: "The two countries have good capacities and grounds for expanding cooperation in the fields of transportation, energy, industry, export of technical and engineering as well as agricultural services.
According to Iran Press on Thursday, in a meeting with Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan, Raisi assessed the parliamentary interactions between the two countries as effective and constructive in raising the level of Iran-Armenia relations, stating: "The Joint Economic Cooperation Commission should review strategies to improve the level of Tehran-Yerevan interactions and take practical steps to achieve these strategies."
President Raisi stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has a high geopolitical capacity that provides the basis for strengthening regional convergence and the spread of peace and prosperity among the nations of the region from the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea to Europe."
Raisi noted that the principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to support the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of all countries in the region.
Iranian president went on to say: "We believe that dialogue between the countries of the region is the only way to resolve issues, and the presence and intervention of foreigners can both untie the knot of problems and blind the knot of problems and problems in the region."
The Armenian Parliament Speaker, Alen Simonyan also said that his country attaches great importance to the expansion of economic, trade and transit relations with Iran.
"The two countries have very high facilities and capacities to expand relations in various fields," he added.
Appreciating Iran's constructive positions on the developments in the region, the Armenian parliament speaker presented a report on the latest developments in the Caucasus and said: "We hope that the Islamic Republic of Iran will play a more active role in the developments in the region."
