(IP)- Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs emphasized that Tehran-Astana cooperation can bolster multilateral mechanisms at the international level.

Iran PressIran news: In a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani discussed various topics, including the expansion of bilateral ties, and regional, and international issues.

Insisting on the importance of regional cooperation, the Iranian senior diplomat highlighted the role of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in stability and security.

Referring to the will of the two countries to hold a new round of the Joint Economic Commission in the next few weeks, Bagheri Kani stated that Complementary economic capacities pave the way for sustainable and stable economic cooperation between the two countries.

Kani pointed to the Israeli war crimes and the ongoing massacre in the enclave, saying all Muslim countries should try to stop the continuation of war since halting the massacre of the oppressed Palestinians is of top priority.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakayev, for his part, stressed the will of his country to cement ties with Iran at regional and international levels. 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed economic relations, trade partnerships, cultural and scientific collaborations, and tourism. 219
