Iran Press/ Middle East: Factional infighting continued on Friday between two US-backed militias in Syria's eastern province of Deir al-Zour, with the Arab tribes stripping the Kurdish-led militia of several villages, SANA news agency reported.
According to the report, fierce clashes continued in most areas in the countryside of Deir al-Zour between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Deir al-Zour Military Council, an Arab-majority militia that used to operate under the umbrella of the SDF.
Arab tribes have cleared a total of 24 villages from the PKK/YPG terror group in eastern Syria.
Conflict is deepening between Arab tribes and PKK/YPG terrorists in the PKK-occupied area of Deir ez-Zor.
According to local sources, clashes erupted on Aug. 27 when PKK terrorists detained Ahmed al-Habil, the so-called group leader of Deir ez-Zor Military Council, following long-standing tensions between both groups. 219
