Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at the ceremony to unveil the advanced digital communication production line and data base software, Brigadier General Hatami praised the experts and scientists of Iran's electronics industry, and their achievements in electronics and telecommunications.
Defense minister Hatami said that the achievements of Iranian experts and scientists have contributed to the resistance economy as well as the defense of the Islamic Republic, Tasnim News Agency reported.
Today, we are proud of the achievements of advanced communication and electronic industries of Iran which have a special status within the region, and by acquiring these new technologies, we will be able to have a multi-layer secure communications network between land, air and sea units of our armed forces, Hatami added.
General Hatami further said these new telecommunications and cyber capabilities will greatly enhance the performance of our armed forces in the face of enemy electronic warfare, and will give our forces 'the edge' over the enemy.
The defense minister said the new electronic, telecommunication and cybernetic systems will provide the Iranian armed forces with timely detection of threats, analysis of enemy operations, and appropriate countermeasures to new enemy threats.
