Iran Press/Africa: A young lady stood before the Iran Press' camera and spoke angrily; "I am telling the Nigerian police, your work is to protect the citizens, even though, they were given an order to teargas to destroy their country. If you shoot a young girl like me, you are shooting at your possible daughter-in-law. If you are shooting at a young girl like me, you are shooting at the leader of your children," said the lady while in anger.
A few minutes after the peaceful protest began, the police attacked the protesters by firing teargas and live bullets in the air and dispersed them.
In Jigawa State, despite 24-hour curfew imposed by the government, hundreds of youths have returned to the streets in parts of Dutse, the state's capital.
The protesters attempted to get into the main parts of the state capital but were being restricted by security operatives.
Also in Maraba of Nasarawa State, hundreds of protesters took to the streets to reveal their anger at the current situation in Nigeria but a team of Nigerian police used teargas to disperse them.
Meanwhile, on Friday, the Nigerian military said it will take action if the protests escalate.
While briefing journalists, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, says the military will intervene if the ongoing nationwide #EndbadGovernance protests persist violently.204
