The US government threatened visa bans for crew of freed Iranian oil supertanker.

Iran Press/America: The US government threatened sanctions against ports, banks and anyone else who does business with the Iranian oil tanker that has been just released by a Gibraltar court decision.

The US department said in a statement, it intends to fully enforce all US sanctions related to Iranian oil exports despite the decision by Gibraltar to allow the ship to leave, Iran Press reported citing the US state department website.

The State Department also said the ship was assisting Iran's Revolution Guard Corps in evading US sanctions against Iran.

The two US officials who wanted not to be named also said that the Trump administration hopes that the UK government and authorities in Gibraltar will reconsider the decision.

On Thursday, Gibraltar government announced that the captain and the officers of the Iranian tanker Grace 1, which was seized by British marines in the Strait of Gibraltar on July 4, have been released from arrest. 101/207
