Iran Press/Iran news: Latest reports from Gomishan county indicate that all roads, which had been closed by severe flooding, have now been reopened by IRGC Engineering Units who have built 19 bridges within 48 hours, according to IRGC Ground Forces Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour.
After heavy downpours and the worst flooding in living memory in Gomishan, floodwaters had surrounded the city and people had to use boats for transportation inside the city in the past four days, but now all roads inside the city and all roads connecting Gomishan to neighbouring cities in Golestan Province have been reopened, Iran Press reported.
General Pakpour stressed that IRGC will continue its relief operations to the people in flood-affected areas.

Armed forces including the IRGC, Army, Basij, and Iran’s Red Crescent society, and all other relief organizations have been assisting the people in flood-hit regions for over a week.
Flooding has left scores of people stranded and continues to cause damage in several areas in south, west and north of Iran.
The floods, caused by torrential rain, have affected 25 of Iran’s 31 provinces from march 19, with Golestan in the north and Fars in the south, among the most severely affected.
The death toll from the recent flash floods across the country currently stands at 42 people.
With the incoming second wave of heavy rain, the Iranian government has mobilized to help flood victims and minimize further loss of life or damage.
On Sunday, the governor-general of southwestern Khuzestan province has declared a state of emergency in the province following heavy rainfall and the threat of new flash floods. 101/211/205
