Iranian President will arrive to the province of Khuzestan to review the works that have been done in flood-hit areas.

Iran Press/Iran news: Hassan Rouhani will visit Khuzestan on Friday to consider the latest measures and actions to confront with flood in the southwestern province.

President Rouhani had visited Golestan and Mazandaran provinces on Wednesday to get acquainted with relief and rescue works for flood-stricken area residents, IRNA reported.

The president also attended crisis headquarters meeting with representatives of related bodies and organisations and necessary decisions were taken in the meeting on Wednesday.

The floods, caused by torrential rain, have affected 25 of Iran’s 31 provinces in recent days, with Golestan in the north and Fars in the south, among the most severely affected ones.

Meanwhile, rescue efforts are underway in several provinces.105/207
