The Head of Planning and Budget Organization Mohammad Bagher Nobakht announced that despite illegal economic sanctions and other obstacles, the country has made significant progress over the past 40 years.

Iran Press/Iran news: Talking to reporters, Nobakht said that based on the recent world bank and Global Fund's findings, despite illegal economic sanctions and other obstacles, Iran has made progress over the years after the Islamic Revolution.

Attending an unveiling ceremony of developing documents held on Tehran Nobakht who is also an adviser for Supervision and Strategic Affairs, told Iran Press News Agency that it can be said that over these forty years, the big powers have tried to weaken the Islamic Revolution. He said the Islamic revolution grew amid 'capitalism and communism'.

Nobakht added: "These two systems did whatever they could to stop the Iranian revolution; better say that the world did its best to stop our victory and after our victory carried most efforts were directed at halting our revolution's consistency."

In further remarks, Nobakht said: "The 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is being commemorated and celebrated with absolute independence and while the arrogant powers waged horrible wars (Iraq imposed war) against us plus terrorizing our population and officials.   208/ 211 /103
