Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami arrived in Venezuela to talk about the bilateral relations.

Iran Press/America: The high-level Iranian delegation, led by Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami is scheduled to meet with officials of the Venezuela government, including President Nicolás Maduro, Iran Press reported.

Before visiting Venezuela, Iranian Defense Minister traveled to Mauritania and had a meeting with the President and the defense minister of the country.

The Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in a meeting with Hojjatollah Soltani the special envoy of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on December, stressed cementing ties between the two sides.

The sanctions and financial pressures that have been imposed on Iran and Venezuela, as well as the decline in oil prices, have affected the relations between Tehran and Caracas, but two countries have been able to continue their bilateral trade. 101/201
