In a meeting with the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Beirut, Iran's Foreign Minister emphasized the need for understanding between Lebanese parties and groups to elect the president of this country.

Iran PressMiddle East: In this meeting, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized on increasing the level of relations between the two countries, especially in the political and economic fields.

Amir-Abdollahian also stressed the importance of Lebanon and its role in the axis of resistance.

Amir Abdollahian called on the Lebanese parties to speed up the election of the president and stressed that it seems that the countries of the region are also paying attention to this issue trying to help solve this issue.

Lebanon has entered its eighth month without being able to elect a president.

Mojtaba Amani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, also presented a report on the the mission and the state of bilateral relations.
