Iran's neighbor countries condemn Chabahar terrorist attack where a suicide car blast killed at least 2 and injured a number of others.

Iran Press/Asia:  Pakistan's Spokesperson for Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Faisal, together with Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi vehemently condemned Chabahar terror attack on Thursday, December 6.

 

 

 "Pakistan strongly condemns terrorist car bomb attack in Chahbahar in brotherly neighboring Iran that has taken lives of three innocent people while injuring others. Pakistan condemns Terrorism. Concerted efforts are required to uproot it from spreading anywhere and everywhere, "twitted Mohammad Faisal on Thursday.

The Ministry of External Affairs of India also strongly condemned a Thursday terrorist attack in Iran’s southeastern port city of Chabahar where a suicide car blast killed at least 2 and injured a number of others.

“We express our condolences to the government and the people of Iran and the families of the victims of this attack,” India’s Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement on Thursday.

India condemns the “despicable terror” attack, the ministry said, adding, “We wish speedy recovery to those injured. The perpetrators behind this dastardly attack should be brought to justice expeditiously.”

“There can be no justification for any act of terror,” the statement concluded, according to The Indian Express.

Furthermore;Turkish and Afghan foreign ministry condemned Chabahr Terrorist attack via issuance of the statements in which had the attack was described as "disgusting". The statements also included sympathies and condolences with the families of those who have been affected by the terrorist attack as well as wishing recovery for the wounded.  

On Thursday morning, an explosive-laden vehicle attacked the police headquarters in Chabahar, killing two sentries and injuring a number of other people, including passersby.

Care taker Governor of Chabahar district in Sistan-Balouchestan Province, Rahmdel Bameri, has said two persons were martyred, and 33 others were injured in Thursday morning's terror attack, which included eight women and three children.

Chabahar provides India with an easier land-sea route to Afghanistan. In November 2017, India sent its first cargo of wheat to Afghanistan through Chabahar in what appeared to be a run dry of a multi-modal connectivity route. The cargo was shipped from India’s western port of Kandla, unloaded at Chabahar and eventually taken to Afghanistan’s Nimroz province by trucks. 105/203
