Tehran(IP)- Pardis Mellat complex screened 'Aah Sard' (Cold-Sigh) on the second day of the 41st edition of Iran's Fajr International Film Festival, on Thursday.

Iran PressIran news: Iman Sedigh, Ali Bagheri, Mohammad Ashkanfar, Salar Dariyamaj, Amir Shams, Amir Aram, Korosh Eshraghi, Hossam Rezaiyan, Ahura Bahrami, Barsam Bahrami were Cold Sigh crew.

Being set in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, central Iran, the film narrates the story of a son whose father murdered his mother for cheating.

Directing her first movie, Naheed Sedigh, said in her film press conference: ' Cold-Sigh' has depicted family challenges like betrayal.

She emphasized that the country's outlook is changing for the better about women.

Also, as the producer, Reza Mohaghegh said: ' Cold-Sigh' successfully interacted with audiences.

Iran's annual Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) has been held every February and April in Tehran since 1982. The festival is supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. It takes place on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

The International Section of the 41st Fajr International Film Festival aims to identify quality international and national films and to strengthen and encourage the production of works aligned with Iranian cinema. 

This edition of the festival is scheduled to be held from February 1 to 11, 2023 in Tehran in two competitive sections and a non-competitive section.

Also, during the period, priority will be given to films dealing with topics seeking justice, discouraging oppression, arrogance, global terrorism, violence, and extremism, encouraging Islamic awakening, transcendent lifestyle, family, human rights, highlighting moral, spiritual, and religious teachings, and fighting discrimination.
