Tehran (IP) – The Iranian Foreign Minister and his Tanzanian counterpart held a phone conversation on Thursday.

Iran PressIran News: During the phone talk, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian announced Iran's readiness to share know-how and experiences with Tanzania, especially in the fields of knowledge-based, agriculture, fisheries, dam construction, watershed management and irrigation.

The two sides discussed issues of mutual interest and boosting cooperation.

Amir-Abdollahian congratulated the appointment of Tax as Tanzania’s minister for foreign affairs.

He also underlined the need to promote cooperation in various fields.

Stergomena Lawrence Tax, for her part, expressed her gratitude for the written and verbal congratulatory message of her Iranian counterpart on the occasion of her appointment as the new foreign minister of Tanzania, and called for boosting Iran-Tanzania cooperation in various fields.

She noted that Tanzania has put expansion of mutual cooperation, especially in commercial and economic fields, on its agenda.
