Iran press/ Iran news: "Iran and Turkey had very good achievements in fighting terrorism. The two countries have acted well in the face of security threats and a good regional progress has been made that if the trend continues, there will be more stability and peace in the region," Hossein Zolfaqari said.
Hossein Zolfaqari met with Deputy Turkish Interior Minister Muhterem ?nce who visited Tehran on Monday, IRNA reported.
Iranian Deputy of Interior Minister for Security and Law Enforcement stressed on the increased coordination and cross-border cooperation between the two countries, and said, "The main cause of the victories of Iran and Turkey in the border zones is internal will and the absolute desire of the two countries in this regard."

Muhterem ?nce said in the meeting, “we see positive developments that will benefit both countries, noting that the friendly relations between the two countries are moving in a good way."
“The two countries' friends in the region welcome this level of Iranian-Turkish relations, but the enemies of the two countries are unhappy at the level of relations, " he said, positively assessing the travel of Iran's Interior Minister and border troops commander to Turkey.
Earlier on April 13, Iran and Turkey signed a border cooperation agreement following a four-day joint high border commission.Turkish Directorate General for Bilateral Political Affairs (Maritime-Aviation-Borders) Burak Ozugergin and Director General of international and legal affairs in Iran's Foreign Ministry Abbas Baqerpoor co-presided the meeting.
The two sides emphasized adopting further measures to confront border incidents and to fight terrorist groups and gangs as well as smuggling.105/203
