In a meeting with members of the congress of martyrs of Qazvin province on Monday 5 November, the Leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, stressed that if we develop the spirit of jihad and martyrdom inside the country, no one will look to the East and the West anymore.

Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, commenting on the status of the martyrs of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said: "Although 30 years have passed since the end of the sacred defence era, the memory of the martyrs of sacred defence era and the martyrs of the revolution will never fade away; in fact their memory is fresher than ever before, because for us they are legendary role-models."

Commenting further the Leader said: "It is very valuable to accurately reflect the achievements of the martyrs, and to publish their biographies and achievements, but some people tend to exaggerate the achievement of the martyrs, but there is no need for this because the martyrs offered their lives, foregoing their wishes and desires in the way of Allah. This is extremely glorious and valuable, and an enormous self-sacrifice, without any exaggeration."

Elaborating further on the subject of martyrs, the Leader said: "The voice of the martyrs has the ability to awaken the masses and by commemorating the martyrs, we ensure that their voice is heard by everyone."

The national congress of 3000 martyrs of Qazvin province started its work on Sunday, 11 November 2018, and will continue for the next five days.
