Iran Press/ Asia: The leaders of Russia, Germany, France and Turkey are meeting in Istanbul to discuss ways of ending the fighting in Syria, and in particular the situation in militant-held Idlib province, the last province still controlled by militants, Euronews reported.

The hope is to extend outwards the fragile ceasefire that is not quite holding in Idlib as well as work on ways to encourage Syrian refugees to return to their country.

Hundreds of terrorists and their families were recently evacuated from southern Syria and lodged in the northwest of the country, in Idlib province.
More than 330,000 people have been killed in Syria and millions have been driven from their homes since the conflict began in March 2011, and the infrastructure of the country destroyed.
Turkey's president Reccep Tayyip Erdogan wants to drive out Kurdish fighters from northern Syria who could help Kurdish fighters who are inside Turkey.
The United States has been backing Syria's Kurdish fighters, which has further strained relations between the US and Turkey, two NATO member states.
