Iran Press/ Iran News: The construction phase of Iran's first nuclear-power desalination plant will start in late August, at the same time as ceremonies are underway to mark National Government Week in the country.
The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) will construct the Bushehr desalination plant, which can desalinate 70,000 cubic meters daily.
Bushehr desalination plant is vital in solving the southern county's water shortage.
Bushehr nuclear power plant, the first and only nuclear power plant in Iran, can produce nearly 1 gigawatt per hour of electricity.
The AEOI plans to build two similar power generation units in Bushehr, aiming at producing and distributing electricity in the country.
