Tehran (IP) - The Islamic Republic of Iran has sent an Ilyushin Il-76P water bomber aircraft to Pakistan in a humanitarian operation to help Pakistan's friendly and neighboring country to help put out fires in the forests and pastures of Balochistan province.

Due to the lack of facilities in Pakistan for firefighting, especially in forested areas and highlands, the government asked the Islamic Republic of Iran to help overcome the fire.

With the help of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, an Ilyushin-76 firefighting aircraft was sent to neighboring Pakistan to launch an important firefighting operation in the forests of Balochistan.

The Iranian sprinkler plane landed at Pakistan Air Force Base Nur Khan in Rawalpindi on Monday night to leave for Baluchistan province after loading water tanks.

The fire has spread in the Sherani area of ​​Balochistan province for several kilometers and continues due to hot weather, inaccessible nature and dry winds.

According to Pakistani media, large areas have been set on fire and three people are said to have been killed so far, dozens were injured and a number went missing in the vicinity of damaged forests.
