Tehran (IP) – The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Iran, on its Twitter account, announced that the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran would travel to Baku.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf is scheduled to attend the third annual meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Parliamentary Assembly to be held in Baku on May 17-18.

The Iranian parliament speaker will also meet with the Republic of Azerbaijan officials during the visit.

Recently, Mehdi Safari, Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, paid a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan with Shahin Mustafaev, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Joint Economic Commission of Iran, and the Azerbaijan Republic, and Khalaf Khalafov, Deputy Foreign Minister.

During the meetings, the latest developments in bilateral relations, the follow-up of the Joint Economic Commission, the ongoing projects between the two countries, the reconstruction of Nagorno-Karabakh, and other issues of interest were discussed. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baku, Seyed Abbas Mousavi, also attended the meetings.
