Lima (IP)-The Head of the Physical Training and Physical Fitness Department of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with other military officials in a meeting with the President of CISM (Conseil International de Sport Militaire or International Military Sports Council), discussed cooperation in military sports, exchanging coaches.

Iran PressAmerica: The International Military Sports Council or Conseil International du Sport Militaire is an international sports association established in 1948 and headquartered in Brussels.

In the meeting, Second Brigadier General Jamshid Fouladi, Head of the Physical Training and Physical Fitness Department of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, briefly reported on the Armed Forces' activities of the Islamic Republic of the Islamic Republic Iran in the field of CISM.

He also made suggestions about non-competitive programs in seismic, such as mountaineering, as well as scientific-research conferences and various educational courses, along with the exchange of coaches in military sports between CISM member states which was well received by the CISM head.

Meanwhile, CISM President Brigadier General Hervé Piccirillo called Iran one of the countries active in the International Military Sports Council field or better defined as CISM.

The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, focusing on the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps(IRGC), is hosting the 26th CISM Taekwondo Championship, which will be held in November 2022 this year.

Also, a joint program on climbing Damavand Peak, with the invitation of CISM member states, will be implemented this September on Holy Defense Week, focusing on the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
