Government spox:
Ali Bahadori-Jahromi

Tehran (IP) – Iran's administration spokesman stressed that the country will not withdraw from the talks until it fully protects the rights of its people.

Iran Press/Iran News: Ali Bahadori-Jahromi said that the talks were one of the issues on the agenda of the Islamic Republic, along with other issues in the international arena.

The administration spokesman added: "Iran will never withdraw from international diplomatic mechanisms and will pursue the issue seriously until it fully and comprehensively protects the rights of the nation, that is, the economic rights of the people while protecting its nuclear rights."

The eighth round of talks for removing sanctions, which began on December 27, 2021, entered a breathtaking phase on March 11, 2022, at the suggestion of EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell, and the negotiators returned to their capitals for political consultations.

Since then, the parties have spoken of progress in the negotiations and the reduction of disputes, but the issue of guarantees and the removal of natural and legal persons from the red list and from the set of sanctions is still one of the cases in which the United States, as a violator of the agreement (JCPOA), has not made the necessary political decision to resolve it.
