Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Sunday that 29 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 140,829.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to April 17, 2022, 7,206,959 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,945,844 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 1,895 cases, of whom 257 patients were hospitalized.

1,361 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 50,425,665 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 55 cities are red, 84 are orange, 274 are yellow and 35 are blue zones.

So far, 64,188,241 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 57,350,435 have received the second dose, 26,750,953 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 148,289,629 doses.
