Iran (IP) - The construction of the largest export terminal in the Middle East began in southwestern Iran's Shalamcheh border area.

Iran PressIran News: Shalamcheh border export terminal is the largest freight terminal in the Middle East and the fifth-largest export terminal globally, which will create jobs for 3,000 people directly and 3,000 people indirectly. 

Managing Director of Arvand Free Zone Organization Mohammad Reza Eskandari said at the inauguration ceremony of the project that the domestic and foreign goods are supposed to be presented in the export terminal and that the goods will be exported through railway, air, marine routs. 

According to Eskandari, the private sector will construct the Shalamcheh export terminal wth 60 hectares of area.
